In this lesson we have learnt how to set up a red head light and the tripod for the camera, we had to bring in some props to take pictures of so we can learn how to edit them. Below is an image of the setup with the light and tripod with a camera on:
The first image that i took was someone holding a rose with blood coming out his fingers. The props that i needed to use for this image was a fake rose and some fake blood, we had to take the image outside so we didn't get the fake blood on the floor:
This is the image that we took and then i put a black and white filter onto it so it looked more scary, so i used the Hue/ Saturation to bring the saturation of the image all the way down to make the image black and white:
The next thing i did was to play around with this image was i changing the levels using the level tool and i made the image look more realistic, i made the rose brighter and made the blood stand out more:
Then i went back ti the black and white image to try and use the curves tool to see if i could make the image even better so on this image i made the darker bits on the petals and the shadows more darker to make the flower stand out more:
I also shot an image of the rose on the table using the Red head light to light up the rose and then to take a picture with the camera
